Revitalizing grass-roots community health care.
Brand Identity Design & Creative Direction
In the 1970’s, People’s Center Health Services, began as a volunteer-run, free health care clinic. Today, 70+ providers serve over 9000 patients and offer medical, dental and behavioral care services at 3 clinic locations in Minneapolis, Minn. People’s Center Health Services is still dedicated to providing affordable, high quality care that is accessible to everyone, regardless of income.
They asked me to update their brand as they celebrated their 45th anniversary, and to renew their efforts to stay true to their vision: Improving Lives. Transforming Communities. Achieving Health Equity for Everyone.
We set visual branding goals to reflect the following organizational & patient care attributes: Welcoming, Efficient, Accountable, Unified, & Responsive. The logo mark is built on the iconic clock tower of the historic and recognizable building which still houses the main clinic in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. Bold and simplified shapes, a minimal color palette and modern typography stay true to the organization’s historical roots, and help reflect the “Public and Accessible” persona.

“Bill is one of the best designers I’ve ever worked with. He listens deeply to the brief and is able to come up with fantastic creative concepts… He never missed a deadline and went over and above the call of duty a number of times… I cannot wait to work with him again.””
